Tools and resources

SEAS will develop the use of a variety of tools and resources  to support open-schooling collaborations addressing sustainability challenges. Some tools aims to facilitate collaboration among participants in local school partnerships, some aim to support teachers in interdisciplinary collaboration and planning of teaching, and others aim to support students in their learning trajectories.

Tools will support the following aspects:

  • cChallenge is an online tool that will be used to support participants engagement in sustainability challenges.
  • SenseMaker tool will be used to help participants track and deepen their understanding on their own emerging narratives of change. SenseMaker captures pictures, recordings and writings from large groups of people easily and at low cost.
  • LORET tool is conceived to support the generation of materials for supporting teachers in leading locally relevant sustainable development learning projects. It addresses the challenges that teachers and school stakeholders encounter when their teaching routines need to be deeply transformed so as to engage with open schooling projects.
  • An international database for educational materials and lesson plans produced in the SEAS-project. Teaching resources focusing on sustainability and other socio-scientific topics made by and for teachers and other relevant stakeholders in the open-schooling networks are collected through the digital solution Acedu to ensure quality and accessibility to teaching materials. New materials developed by others can be uploaded to Acedu, commented by researchers, and tested by teachers, thereby achieving further quality assurance.
